D - Stahl.
Diesem Material widmete ich mich ein ganzes Semester lang. Ziel in diesem Semester war es, an die Grenzen von Stahl und dessen Möglichkeiten zu gelangen. Zudem musste der Entwurf nur aus diesem Material realisierbar sein. Die Struktur und dessen Auswirkung auf das Erscheinungsbild spielten eine relevante Rolle.
Dieser Entwurf handelt von einer Kunstgiesserei, welche kleine bis grosse Statuen von bekannten Künstlern abgiesst. Das Hauptmerkmal dieses Entwurfes richtet sich an das aufgelöste Faltwerk der Halle. Dieses bildet zugleich auch die gesamte Tragkonstruktion.
Die Faltkonstruktion ist eine Entwicklung meinerseits. Das Ziel war es, dass ein rechteckiges Blech so eingeschnitten und eingeritzt wird, dass kein Restmaterial übrig bleibt und nur durch die Faltung in sich stehen kann.
E - Steel.
I devoted myself for an entire semester to this material. The aim was to approach the limits of steel and its possibilities. It was paramount to make the project feasible, using only this material. The structure and the resulting effect on the appearance played a relevant role.
This project is an art foundry that manufactures smaller and larger statues of famous artists. The main feature of this design is aimed at the resolution folded structure of the hall. This forms at the same time also the entire structure.
The folding structure is a development of my hand. The aim was to ensure that a rectangular sheet is cut and scratched, so no residual material remains and can only stand by the folding in itself.
